A profile of conservation worker, Pankaj Chandan.
SILVER SCREEN AWARD at the 2002 US International
Film & Video Festival.
On the edge of the Tibetan Plateau, Ladakh is an area
we know well. It is Pankaj Chandan's job is to bring
together all the communities in the region - nomadic
herders, Buddhist Lamas & the Indian Army - to
safe-guard the high altitude wetlands where the
extremely rare Black Necked Cranes breed.
They are nervous creatures but we finally
succeeded in filming them by Jill creeping out
across the wetland wearing the local overcoat,
which the birds are accustomed to seeing.

Kruger National Park in South Africa had a problem - too
many elephants. IFAW funded a project to re-locate
entire family groups to private game reserves.
A mammoth task indeed.

Profiles of WWF projects in Pakistan, Thailand and
Hong Kong. It was still possible to
travel to the tribal areas of West Pakistan in 1991
but not at the moment sadly. It is a wonderful landscape
and we were received with great hospitality.

Through 2012 & 2013 we travelled regularly to
Cornwall to film at the Minack - the wonderful openair
theatre at Porthcurno near Land's End.

The result is a DVD with 2 films; one tells the inspirational
story of Rowena Cade who built the Theatre and the other
is a 'behind the scenes' look at the Theatre through
the season.

An advertisement aired across Mediterranean region to
promote 'Coast Day'.

4 days on a beach in Tunisia sounds like a great time
but with a powerful wind whipping up a sandstorm and
a 4 year old more interested in building sand castles
- it was a challenge. Good challenge though!
